Broken Capillary Tube
I was doing some rewiring under the dash and broke the capillary tube where it connects to the Thermostat on my Vintage Air Control Panel. Can the broken stub be removed and the remaining tube resoldered or will I have to buy a new unit.

You will have to get a replacement from vintage air. Once the cap. tube is broken the stat will nolonger work right. Anew one is in order. TF

Sorry about the break. The stat works by the expansion of a liquid or gas inside of the cap tube. Once the tube is broken the gas or liquid is gone. Even if you could repair the tube the temperature calibration would be incorrect. TF
