broken oil dipstick tube

how do i remove a broken dipstick tube from a 327 engine block

where is it broken? in the block or can you grab some of it?

Get a large sheet metal screw that fits the remaining tube tightly. Sometimes you can simply screw it in and use a large screwdriver to pry it loose or grab it with vice grips. I actually made a remover by welding that sheet metal screw to a bolt that fit in my slide hammer. Weld them head-to-head. I've pulled several broken dipstick tubes this way.
