bronco aod transmission

I have a full size bronco with 302 engine and an aod trans. When I accelerate it shifts smoothly into overdrive at about 55. If I let out on the throttle it drops hard into overdrive at about 45. Also at 65 I can feel the transmission shudder. Is my overdrive band worn out?

hard 3-4 shift can be from too high line pressure , tv pressure out of adjustment. can also have worn check ball in valve body.shudder is more consistent with an engine miss, no converter clutch in and aod converter pre 93 might check u joints
