bucket head

I bought a pair a very nice leather bucket seats for my 67 C-10, I knew they were from 2001 Audi A-6, what I did not realize is that they have wheels on the back side of the seat and ride in a track that is part of the floor board, the front mounts on a stationary mount. My first thought was to cut and fit a universal mount to the seats. Then it dawned on me that those roller wheels are the same size as garage door wheels and that maybe i could cut channels in my trucks floor and weld in garage door track and fabricate a stationary mount for the front of the seat and make it possible to mount the screw shaft, that controls seat movement.any Ideas?

Sounds like a plan from here..should work just fine as long as there is no opportunity for the wheels to jump the track at an inopportune time...

If that works, great, but isn't there a way to take the seat off of that rolling mechanism and just fabricate some solid mounts? Is it possible for you to take a few pictures of the bottom of the seats?

When the seat is installed half way right, a electric motor runs the seat forward and back on the track. It does not have to be very long, most seats do not have more than about 12" travel ,so I am thinking about 6 inches of curve and 6 inches of straight my only real concern is how to make the front mount support the seat and the electric motor device.

I like your ideas, but my concern would be for safety's sake.
