I have a very hard time watching NASCAR. Rather watch F1 and INDY. I do like watching the old races when they were real production cars. Its a bunch of high dollar teams and not what it used to be. There are no more manufacturers battling to build the better car.

And yes I would watch a real Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry, Dodge Charger, and the Chevy Monte Carlo race. Just put a cage in them and let em go. Seats, fuel injection, power steering, air conditioning all need to be left on so they can cruise in comfort.

Blazin, I have a HDTV tuner card in my computer & a widescreen monitor. It functions as a DVR so I can pause, fast forward, rewind & record high-def with it too

With all cars having the same profiles and the only make identifier being the paintjob the thrill and romance is just gone...gone...gone.

Yawn, now the cars all look exactly the same, with the only difference I see is the shape of the grill opening. I was a big nascar fan, but the continous changes if the rules and cars for the worst is making it hard to continue watching. Plus didn't even see number 17 tonight. It was on my tv, but wasn't really watching the race.

I'm with you on that, did the same thing! Got a controller so I can turn on and off my computer from by bed, change channels, set up recordings etc. 5.1 surround sound and a 24 inch widescreen LCD flat panel monitor set to 1920x1200. Maybe TV's will become a thing of the past! HD resolution is only max of 1080 I believe.

I watch it because there are 43 High HP V-8 RWD cars with Holley 4 bbl. carburetors and 4 speeds running WFO with open exhaust. All else is unimportant...........
