I have just painted a car with DuPont single stage paint and was wondering if i can buff it and if i can what do i need to use.

Did you use a hardner/catalyst?

If not, I wouldn't buff it for a few weeks.

If you've never buffed a car before be very careful. If you use a power buffer you can burn the paint or wear through it.

A fellow car guy over on ChevyTalk suggested 2 and 3K grit paper to me. I tried the wet/dry paper on a 20 year old paint job that made it shine like glass. A bit of hand rubbing with Mequiars Polish and some wax and my wagon looks better then it ever has.

Now, if that Dupont is real Dupont single stage buff it on the first two to three days or don't try! It will get like cement.

If its Nason, two weeks probably OK.
Two complete opposite resin systems.

Its Nason so i need to do it within 2 weeks when is the soonest i can do it?
probly 2 to 3 days right

Activated @ 70 degrees 24 hours or longer.
