I wish you were my dad! You're going to give a kid who's about 16-17-18 keys to a 450 horsepower car. I hope he's a good driver.

LOL. My son is 10 and we have a stock 302 w/c-4 trany when the time comes for him to drive.
I let him drive it in a big parking lot. He got it into second gear, cut it hard and hit it hard. That was the most smoke i've seen in a long time. He still smiles about that as for now, we want to have some fun at the track and street. I would like to put headers on, but dont think there is enough room.

Lol he's 10. I remember getting to drive my dad's Nova when I was 11. It killed the urge I had to get a go-kart.
by the way nice Mustang. And I'm sure someone makes headers that fit it. Here you go http://www.jbaheaders.com/65-70mustangnew.asp |

Nice mustang.
Here are a few links to some headers. http://www.jbaheaders.com/65-70mustangnew.asp http://www.mustangsplus.com/Merchant...y_Code=hookhed http://www.fordpowertrain.com/351C.htm and the main site http://www.fordpowertrain.com/Headers.htm Just some info and ideas on where to get them and who makes them. You could probably take the part numbers and goto SummitRacing.com and order them for less. EDIT: Dammit Ghetto Jet for stealing my thunder!

Just shows the difference between 'city' kids, and 'farm' kids. Around here, kids start driving, when they can reach the pedals, and see over the dash, at the same time. Pretty common to see a pre-teen, rolling up the road, in a tractor, pulling a 28' implement. Maybe a kid in a service truck, pulling a header trailer, following Dad, who's driving the combine.
Not just the boys, either. Sharp 'stang, btw. |

I know how that is. While I didn't grow up on a farm I did spend the first 10 years of my life in good ol' Wichita Kansas.
What part of Kansas are you in?

Well, I pulled the intake off.
Needs head work. You could of swam in all the oil atop the valves + the ports are huge. The reason for the build is that 2yrs ago it was fresh, and had leaked over time, rear main, blow by,worn valve seals ect. so we wanted to start fresh again. Just give it a lil more power. I ran a low 13et but never had it on the dyno.once i get the heads off, i hope the pistons and rings are good, but will probaly pull it and do the lower as well. compression is still great and it will scrach the 3:55 possi into 4th . but the oil n heads are bogging it bad. |
