buick drums

Is it possible to use a set of 45 finned buick aluminum drums on the back of my car. I think I have the front ones figured out. On the back of have a 1940's halibrand quick change with 40 ford bells and axels. do I use the 42 to 48 commercial hubs that go on the out side of the drum? Or is there another way using vintage parts, nothing newer the 1954.

Harold

I can't imagine why that wouldn't work. They go on the front spindles so well and the rear brakes are similar size so should be doable. I put the Buick drums on my '56 Olds rear end and that took quite a bit of arm waiving but not too bad.
