buick super turbine 300 trans. problem

my 2 speed trans. will not shift from low to drive gear. have already checked
fluid for metal fililings and found none. filter is clean. have vacume at modulator and modulator has been replaced. car goes into low/reverse
fine. doesent even try to go into drive gear at any speed. (have had up to 70 m.p.h.) trans now out of car awaiting teardown/rebuild. Does anyone have anytips or hints on what to lookout for, anything that may be unexpected, a good
place to find a rebuild kit, or anything to try doing before a compleate rebuild?

Check for a stripped governor gear.
If it is already out, may as well get the trans rebuilt. Given its age, there are probably more issues as yet unseen....

Unless you have your heart set on keeping the car original, I would put in a BOP TH350 or TH400. Both better trannies than the ST300 (IMHO). Performance parts availability. Etc.
