Maybe, but only if the stock rods and crank don't break first. Trying to get 500 hp on a carb'd 350 will take some work. And the 350 tranny probably won't last long either.

com cams XR 294 is all the cam you need, peak power will come in @ 6500 peak torque will be @ 5000 I used sportsmanII's and came up with over 500hp and over 480ftlbs given the margin for error (im subtracting 47hp) that should put you right @ 500hp at 6500.....of course Im using desktop dyno, but it should be within 50hp or so I would think...

I would use better rods at least. The stock crank will be okay if you keep RPM from getting out of hand, but stock rods......I would at least upgrade to a 5140 scat.

I would also go with the single carb for ease of tuning.

Also, ditch the gear drive for a good true roller chain set.

Aren't Pro Top-Line heads cast iron. With 12 to 1 comp you are going to want aluminum heads, cast iron and high compression don't make the best mix. You can run more timing with aluminum heads without getting detonation.

Also I'm with TurboS10 on the Forged crank thing. At least 4130 Forged and not a generic crank, Scat, Eagle or something like that. You should be alright with GM X rods ( pink rods ) at that horsepower. I wouldn't go with a regular cast rod though if you do go with cast rods at least have them Shot Peened. 12 to 1 comp is going to have pretty high cylinder pressures.

some of the pro topline heads come out with 50cc chambers, he has the same heads I have on my chevelle apparently..mine have 50cc chambers also...I think this option was for circle track racer's in some way because that's the only other place Ive seen these heads...

I was kind of wondering the same thing Troy. Flat tops with a 64cc head even with 0 deck only gets you about 10.5:1

Maybe we are dealing with one of those infamous magical mystery engines that only exist in the mind of the builder.
