Building a bird cage for T-Bird 8.8 IRS

Has anyone here built a tube cage for an IRS from T bird/Lincoln ? Mine has the stock cage but I want to reduce weight and more pleasing to the eye tube cage. This maybe far fetched idea but I thought I would see what other car guys think.

bird IRS

I saw a Bird disc rear under a T bucket at a car show about 5 or 6 years a go. The guy had built new tubular A arms & mounting brackets. He said he was going to sell a kit but I haven't seen anything out there. You might find some info on the Cobra build Sites, some of them use Bird 8.8 IRS. also check out the T bucket sites. An Irs looks good under one. I have 4 jag susp's on pallets in the shop for our proects, My son used CCR plans for the Jag under his 22 dodge lakester.

Thanks, yes a kit would make this a lot easier. I'm wanting to use it in my 41 Ford business coupe.
