I won't have to do that because I'm not using that type of light on here... I'm using custom motor cycle head lights... Like these..http://www.jpcycles.com/product/310-...1&zmap=310-556

The way the bracket's are you bolt them to a flat spot... Thanks anyway...

Just cought back up with the thread. I visit 4 forums now, and I guess I gotta cut back some

Anyway. I don't think '59 Caddies are the solution to that, however the pinup light idea is quite novel, I would make the diamonds the light. Cut out the 4 flats of the diamonds and replace with red stained glass. light from behind.. just a thought

Lights

if U R gonna put lights there, how about something that goes one of two (wildly different) ways.

1) something "'period" from when C-cabs were new cars - coach lamps or something like that

OR

2) Cut out the diamonds and put in sculpted Lexan (or similar) diamond shapes - same size & shape and raised above the panel the same amount, but with a crystal or "'jewel" appearance - with LEDs in behind to light them up? (bring out the "jewel" in "Crown Jewel"

Just not sure the Caddies fit in with the lines of it (and with the frenched-in 59 Cad tail lites, there will be just too many 59 Cad lites on it!) Actually - those lights on it make it look a tad like a Police paddy wagon (well - you asked for our views!)

Honestly I think it makes the c-cab look more like a Hurst. or a funeral vehicle,
Takes away from the neat design, and creates it into something Gothic,,JMO

I tend to agree with Dave

You know what they always say, "If you can't say something nice". I think it's heading in a different direction than the rest of the build.

Good. You have such cool lines on the side of the car it would be a shame to distract from that. What would be cool is some gold leaf accents around the lettering when it's done to that stage of the build, ala stagecoach style or the boothill express. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=stage...29N3GBw&zoom=1

Check out this page, all kinds of fun stuff: http://coffincorner.proboards.com/in...t&thread=15825

It look's a little better in person... But I think it's better without them too...

It does make it look like a paddy wagon
Maybe cut out the sign and add bars there.. NOT !!!

My mind can head in the wrong direction sometimes..
