I'm 15 1/2, and I just bought a 1969 Chevelle El Camino. It needs to be restored a little and since this will be my first hotrod I want to take the car back to what it was like when it rolled off the assembly line. So could someone tell me where to send off for the build sheet for my Elky.
thanks alot, camino69 [ June 28, 2002: Message edited by: camino69 ]
|

I would try the chevelle club on the net, they have lots of links to different places you could get them...but as far as the car goes, as your first hot rod? Making a car look original is very time consuming, it is rewarding if you take it to shows, but a hot rod is a hot rod, either way you do your restoring...I had a friend that got a 67 mustang, 289, from his dad's boss for a little bit of nothing and he was going to drive it as a daily driver...They decided to put it back to original...that was one mistake they wish they didn't do, they spent over 10k and when it was running for a little while he decided he was going to race a ricer out on the street...his whole drivetrain saw ground and ran for cover

I just want a stock appearing car. But as for the Engine i'm going to either find a 396 and soup it up or do the same with the 350 that is in it now
