Built 4L60E - slow 2-3 shift (Crosley ?)

Looking for some advice where to look once I pull the trans apart for inspection.

I have a heavily built 4l60E with the transgo HD2 shift kit installed, line pressure is good <200PSI @ WOT. The trans does not slip once in 3rd - fluid is good not burnt. 1-2 & 3-4 shifts are fast. The 2-3 shift takes about 2 seconds to make at WOT (6200 rpm). At part throttle the 2-3 shift time is acceptable.

I have full thickness red plates and full thickness klone steels in the 3rd clutch pack. Transgo hirev kit springs are installed. Clutch pack clearances were set to GM minimum spec.

This ones got me puzzled.

Are you asking how much power is being made ? If so roughly 320 RWHP.

Are we talking a late shift or slow-soft shift?

Were the electronics / solenoids replaced during this rebuild?

What hole size is the 2-3 shift hole drilled to in the plate?

did you verify the 2-3 shift hole in the plate was not partially covered by the gasket? Some gaskets seem to need the hole opened up some.

200 psi is plenty...

At WOT the shift is slow and soft, part throttle not so bad. The transfer plate hole is at least 0.093".

The solenoids were changed during the rebuild, and I'm currently shifting via 2 toggle switches ( works fine just got to remember the sequence) this will soon be replaced with a megashift controller (part of the megasquirt family).

I'll check the gasket when I pull the trans apart. Could a seal be going away? It seems to be getting worse as time progresses but its been 3 months since I've stored the truck for the winter.

Thanks
