Fiberglass aftermarket parts are notorious for a terrible fit.
Even if the car was hit and repaired the car might be fine ...look at how well the deck lid fits and if it has nice even gaps all the way around then examine the fenders for excessive body work....if the old fenders fit well and you really want fiberglass its a save bet they are the problem so start cutting and fitting...when the time comes to start glassing use the stranded mat not the woven type its a lot easier to work with...Lowes or Home depot have about the best deal on resin 35.00 a gal for 3M compared to the body shop supply stores 58.00 a gal...
