Bumper stops
I have a 36 Ford pickup with a Mustang 2 IFS. Can someone tell me where the bumper stops would be located. Would they have been incorporated into the original shock itself? Thank you.

The bump stops are indeed located on the shaft of the orignal shocks.

Thank you aosborn. I am thinking to go to coil overs. Do you know of any with the stops on the shock shaft? I don't think my shocks are stock Mustang II and I see that Jeg's sells regular rubber stops. I will have to look and see if those could be mounted on the lower A arm under the frame. Anyway thanks again.

QA-1 sells some very nice quality coilovers that have bumpstops available that will go over the shaft.
