bumpers
I have a dodge pickup, and wanting to paint the chrome bumpers a flat black, can anyone tell me waht I need, Do I scuff the chrome? prime? ect... and what kinda paint should I use, I really wanna stay away from rattle can, Ill use my paint gun, just needing to know wht I should buy

A heavy use part like that I would definitely have it powder coated. If not that, you must have the chrome stripped by a chrome plater or sand blast it to white metal. Paint will not stick to chrome. Once prepped, paint it with black epoxy primer and cover it with a couple coats of catalyzed urethane clear with a flattening additive.

why would you want to do that? i guess if you would want to do that, you'd have to scuff up the chrome, and get a good primer base coat. then finish it up like any other panel.
