burning oil
I just overhauled a 327 Chevy and I found that I was burning oil. I found out that I was sucking oil through my intake manifold through the oil soaked gasket. I replaced my intake and put a valley splash shield in the lifter area and it stooped the sucking of oil. I am wondering if burning oil through that area would ruining my ring seal. I steel seam to be burning oil but my intake gasket is now dry.
