The busiest highway is indeed the 401 which runs through Toronto.

That's not to say its the most congested highway. I've heard alot of horror stories about traffic in California.

A lot of lanes keeps it moving nicely during non rush hour times.

US19 in FL. Also the most deadly HWY in the US. I drive it everyday and cross my fingers.

Cross your fingers?

Being a hotrodder, sounds more like a fun drive than scary. Hang your head in shame....

It is a fun ride but you have to watch for the blue haired 80 year old that crosses 3 lanes! While doing 80!!

The busiest 2 lane used to be highway 146 through the Baytown/La Porte tunnel under the Houston Ship Channel. 146 was a 4 lane but the tunnel was a 2 lane hell-hole. After wasting 10 years building a bridge, the tube finally got pulled out.

Yeah, that makes sense ... Smack dab through "The Center of the Universe" ?

The east/west thing is always fun Don........Since I moved out of the GTA, I feel the same way.....

Whats more fun is that the "Mericans can't accept that we rule when it comes to busy highways.......as well as the longest street (Yonge St....1176 miles from Lake Ontario to way up north )....This is under debate though, as north of Toronto it has been diverted a bit here and there.
