Buying my First Lamborghini this week

Just wanted to say how excited I am, I have just closed the deal for a 1974 Lamborghini P111. It's getting shipped this week...I can't wait Only 21 of the P111's were ever made and only 12 of the 21 are currently registered, I guess others may have been wrecked or fire damaged. Anyhow It's almost in show car condition, so really doesnt need alot of work.

My girlfriend wanted a Mini-cooper, I have no idea how I talked her into agreeing on buying a Lamborghini and I'm not asking until after the car arrives

well done

am i correct in saying that the p111 was after the muira?
that it is a better version of their first try, i hear that one of the most terrific sound sin the automotive world is the sound of a muira or p111 maybe you can record it and post it on the site for the rest of us to drual over

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

The Miura was more of a race car. So lamborghini made the Urraco P250's to compete against the Ferrari dino's. It was supposed to be more of an affordable touring sports car. The problem was that the P250's were release in 1972 but due to GAS inflation and production problems the car wasnt even produced until 2 years later, so more then 1/2 the people canceled bids and bought something else. To add to the problems lamborghini's first P111's were already starting in 1974 which probably would of taken off but lamborghini made a big mistake, they release the new prototype countach to soon, it was released the same year the P111's started. With everyone putting orders in for the new countach it killed production of the P111's.

OH MAN! You will love it!

Years ago I had muiraS 1969 I took the car as part trade for two restored vettes.
What a car but you just could not drive it around town.

But get it on I-75 and it was gone.

I think it was rated at 180 and one time I ran it up to around 140 and it was like driving 70 in a normal car.

My wife use to say when she wanted me out of her hair.
"Go out to the garage and stare at the car and get a woody"

It did just that!

Lets see a mini cooper or a Lamborghini, ohh tough choice, man. I hope you made the right decision. If you get on I-75 and step on it, stop in Ohio when you let off the gas. I really, really ,really need a ride in her.

Oh that was nasty to bring that up!
Thats like asking an owner of a Mercedes S600, "whats your gas mileage"?

You just don't want to think about that $5000 windshield!

Im not really sure where to get parts. I already did some searches and didnt fine much. A Ferrari parts place said alot of the parts interchange but I would have to know part numbers.

Any idea's where to find parts?

To run down parts, two ideas come to mind-
There are Lambo dealers-around Philadelphia,Pa,it,s F.C. Kerbeck,on Rt 73 in Palmyra,N.J.
I'm sure theres also a Lambo owners club- I'd do a google and look in Hemmings Motor News.
NICE car,good luck

George
