I have a 2003 Ford Ranger 3.0 it shuts down at 90mph. How can you by pass the rev limiter or governor ?

Drop a small block Chevy in it . The only way to by-pass the limiter that I know of is a re-program of the computer.

Next question one has to ask, is why would you want to go faster than 90 in Ford Ranger?

Dude , not my car ,I'm a bow tie kind of guy I don't like cars where they mark the problem by putting a blue oval around it. But a buck is a buck !! and if someone wants to pay me to work on thier oval I'll take thier money and charge double hehehaha! But thanks for the info!!Brian

Hey man not my vehicle , but for the right price I will even work on a blue oval. Especially in the city they won't have much of a chance to open her up without wrapping it around a pole or a free ride in a police cruiser . I gave up asking questions . I quote a price and if they pay I will do my best to fix it.

Hey if you are getting paid to do this. Consider the reprocussions of bypassing any safety device.
