Question C-4 Bell Housing to 5 bolt engine

What ford (model, year, engine) had the C-4 trans with the 5 bolt bell housing? Comet, fairlane, falcon, mustang or full size car? Most salvage yards don't seem to know. (Thanks,Mel)

Thumbs up

Tom is right. If you come across a 260 it will be a 5 bolt bellhousing. I've never seen a 289 with a 5 bolt but that doesn't mean that they don't exist. The 5 bolts are befinetely getting hard to find let alone a trans for it.

a 64 1/2 mustang with a 289 and c4 will have a 5 bolt bellhousing also, like tom said ANY smallblock ford (221 260 or 289) before the 65 model year will have them. The comet, falcon, fairlane and mustang should all be great doner cars.
