Exclamation C-4 ID H.E.L.P..please

Can anyone tell me what kinda tranmisison i have, the tail of the tranny shows the ID of RF-D4ZP-7A040AA

All i know is that its an AutoMatic and it has the Ford Emblem on it..supposed to be a C-4 just dont know if the tranny is any good...Please Help me find out what kinda auto tranny i got..:-)

Well, its from 1974...thats all i can tell you just by looking at the number from the top of my head.

It is also from a Mustang 2, the Z is for Mustang, so it could be from a V6 or even a four. The cases are pretty much the same but I would guess (with out looking at a parts list )that it has a few less plates in the clutch packs, etc. If the bellhousing is the same as the V8 (although the # is from '74 the tranny could be later, that's the date it was first cast) it would be worth a hop up.
