It's me again...everything is running great...except for the newly rebuilt trans...took it back to have shift points set after I installed it in the truck..the speedo was not accurate enough for the guy to set the points...so i changed the small nylon speedo gear and now it is better but not on the money..he is installing a shift kit while he has it and says this will help a great deal towards setting the points..shouldn't he just be able to set the shift points by driving the truck and feeling pacing with another vehicle for speed...still under warranty so I only have to pay for the shift kit...thanks...

the shift points for a stock set up occur within certain speed ranges. he needs a good speed reference to check shift points. hope this helps. g`luck.
