C-clip eliminator installation

Hello!

I'm doing c-clip eliminator(Strange) installation and I got some questions. Do I still have to install axles with those c-clips or can I throw them away? Does c-clip eliminator replace c-clips and hold axles on place or are they just safety equipment in case c-clips fail? It's a GM 8,5" 10 bolt with Powertrax lock.

Thank you!

I'am sure your c-clips are the same as my 12 bolt. You no longer use the c-clips. The eliminators are pressed onto the axles and bolt up to the brake backing plates holding the Axel in place. A lot like the 9" ford setup.

You also will have to cut the axle housing ends off at the outside of the brake flange to bolt up the c-clip eliminators.
