A/c system kit.

I want a/c in my 78 again. It was facrory a/c but most of the system it gone. I dont think its worth it to gather up parts to reassemble the original system since half the vents, compressor, brackets, heater core+box, the box under the passenger side dash, and all wiring and hoses are gone. I'm looking at this kit: Vintage Air Gen IV A/C System 1978 Camaro/Firebird- FREE SHIPPING!
Says it's complete and doesnt need anything from the factory system and will keep the flat firewall which is what i already have.
Any opinions on the matter? I can't have no a/c living in south florida. Also i dont care about heat. Not sure if this kit has it anyway, but if not it doesnt matter since i'll never use it.

Looks like a good way to go. Vintage air has been around for a long time.

Horrible! But so does $3.75/gal of gas. Everything is expensive. The only cheaper way I could think of would be to buy a donor vehicle same year, same model and strip it of parts. I'm sure you could find a non-runner for less.

I've never been a fan of donor cars. Doesnt seem right to tear apart a car the fix another when both could have been fixed up. I'll just get the vintage air system when it comes time to do the interior.
