C4 (1984) Corvette Tranny
Heys guys do you know if I can take any regular GM manual tranny and put it in my automatic 84 vette. Im guessin I would have to modify the crossmember and get a different driveshaft.

If you can find a bell housing that matches the trans bolt pattern and is the correct depth for the input shaft, clutch release arm and associated parts, sure. But keep in mind if you have a console, chances of the shifter and linkage being in the right spot may be an issue, regardless, you'll need a console out of a manual vette, or none. You'll also need all the pedal pieces, hangers, linkages, and the block/frame pivot ball mounts for the clutch linkage, crank input shaft bearing/bushing to match the input shaft diameter. If the setup you choose is hydraulic, that's a whole different story.
