C4 problem

Ok I just replaced the servo on my c4 tranny with a aftermarket one. The good news is my 2-3 flare is gone, the bad news is it now wont shift into 2nd until almost 5000 rpms. The tranny is in a 65 Mustang fastback. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you reconnect the vacuum line to the modulator(right side of tranny near the bottom) and to the correct vacuum port??

Yep sure did. I might try adjusting it though, along with the low/reverse band. What i dont understand is how changing the intermediate servo would effect the 1-2 shift.

There is also an allen wrench adjustment on the modulator as well - thru the vacuum port

Is this aluminum servo cover and innards what you replaced - kinda hard to see with the rest of the claptrap

You changed the 2nd gear servo with the trans in the car?

Did you drop the trans pan and valve body to change this servo , then re-install the band struts?
