Post C4 sliding

I have a 1967 Mustang with the original C4 that was rebuilt approximate 7,000 miles ago. When the car is cold, the transmission shifts great. When it warms up, it wants to slide into 3 gear. If you shift it manually it works great. Does anyone know what is happening here?

Buy an adjustable modulator and screw in the adjusting screw to adjust the shift firmness and speed. They are getting harder to find these days, ask for one that fits a early model (late sixties) and inspect the vacuum port connection. The right one has an adjuster screw inside the port.
