C4 suspension to 50 Chev pick up

Any of you guys installed a Vette front end in a 47-54 Chev pick up? I have it polished and really don't want to spend the big bucks for a crossmember kit. Anybody welded the Vette crossmember in? Planning to use the rack unit and all the A arms with coil overs.

Vette C4 suspension in a AD

I am working on a 54 did the front and rear but I used a front cross member from Progressive auto as I didn't like the way the stamped cradle looks, and fabbed the rear stuff. I m sure you can get the cradle where it needs to be without to much trouble. this website may help give you some ideas

I have some pics on my journal under Roadsire

Good luck

THX for the post. Looks like you did a great job. I looked at my Vette front end and found one upright bent..looked like too much thought so I bought a Flatout Engineering front crossmember. Haven't installed it yet. Still polishing the parts.
