Instead of the C-4 I would consider a C-6 it is much stronger and will stand up to the capabilities of your 351C much better. You will need the trans as well as the torque converter and flywheel.you'll probably have to shorten the driveshaft and change the front yoke on the driveshaft as I believe the output shaft is larger on the C-6 you'll also need to modify or fabricate a new crossmember.Sounds like alot of work but it's not that bad and will be well worth it in the longrun if you are going to put any power to it.Make sure You get the right trans for the engine though cause ford uses several different bell houseing to engine bolt patterns
Hope this helps!!!

hi fast ford i had a c6 behind my first cleveland it had a very small hop up to it but very nice the c6 i had was strong and took a lot of punishment from my son @i. iv been reading here that the c6 takes more horse power to us butt i like the abuse it took and i liked it alot when i went to stlouis and back [abought 100 miles one way]and it only took abought 1/4 tank of gas when i get dune rebulding my next 351c im going to use the c6 i totaly agree it may take time and work to install butttttt it will be worth it in the long run may god bless gordon

thanks for your input, however i am not sure the c6 will fit under my rod. the c4 will just make it without cutting the trans hump. after what i went through getting my fmx rebuilt, i really want to get everything together to install a performance c4 this winter [jan-feb 03 ].so if anyone knows what all needs to be changed, please pass the info along. thanks again guys.
