Daughters 67 mustang, 289 with C4 transmission. Had a fluid leak and changed the pan gasket, everything looked good. 4 days later fluid coming out of tube located on driver side near rear of transmission (rear servo cover). looks like over flow but had no leaks for many days. anyone have idea what tube is and why fluid flow after many days.

Thanks Dave

Yes that tube is an overflow. The only time I have seen fluid comong out of this tube is when the trans is over full. Is that possible? Do you have the right dipstick? How are you checking the fluid, running in park? Since the only thing you did was change the pan gasket and add fluid, and I assume that it did not leak before, it has to have something to do with the fluid level. Hope this helps.

Thank you rfb92345.

Must have a bad dipstick. Had the engine running and the car in park. Also had her shift forward and reverse and then drove it.
