C6 transmission cooler lines question?

Would it be ok to use rubber high pressure hosing instead of the steel tubing that came with the transmission?

IF you want to use rubber hose, then make sure it is designed for trans fluid. A fuel line will degrade when used with trans fluid. Personally, I think that running the steel line is worth the work. If the engine is out of the vehicle it is very easy. If the engine is inside the vehicle, then use short pieces connected with double-flare fittings. Do not use compression fittings as they always leak.

Take the time and spring for the expense of running hard line. If you run rubber hose you always run the possibility/probability of springing a leak and spraying your engine compartment with hot tranny fluid which could very easily cause a fire and burn your car right down to the ground.

Like the others stated, steel line would be the best, and actually cheaper in the long run.

Yes you can use a gas and oil resistant rubber hose, but there is always the possibility that chafing or a weakness in one spot will cause a leak.

Hydraulic hose would work just fine without those worries, BUT the cost is substantially higher.
