C6 Transmission Shift link & Kickdown

My application is a 72 mustang floor shift. I put a column shift c6 in and the shift link will not work. I also see no lever on the trans either to hook up my kickdown link. I heard you can go through the pan and adjust the shift lever? Or do I need a whole new setup off an floor shift c6 including the kickdown lever inside the trans? I picture of how it should look would be great!!!!! I only have one lever inside the trans pointing down and this is all.

when it comes to the earlier ford transmissions, it was common that the cars linkage went up and the trucks went down on manual arm position. yes, you can drop the pan and flip the arm but, more than likely the arm is going to be too long and will throw the detents off.
as far as the kickdown goes, it should be just like the c-4 with a smaller rod going through the manual arm. if it has no provisions for it that would make me believe that you dont have a c-6. sounds more like a AODE/4R70W or a E4OD.
