cab mounts and springs
Part of my winter work on my hot rod is to try again to soften the ride some. I'm thinking of taking the one or two of the shortest leaves out of the front spring. I don't want to go too low but I assume that the short springs would be the stiffest. Will this help and is it a "good" idea? Also I have looked into rubber and urethane cusions for the cab but everything comes in a kit for what ever. Is there a substitute that I can use for the really hard rubber that I have now? I know this is a small thing but I thought it may help a little.
I realize that a light weight short wheel base hot rod is not going to be a soft ride but I'm trying to get the best ride I can with what I've got to work with. Thanks for any ideas. |
