Cache Valley (Utah) Cruise-in photos

Here are some random photos of this weekend's Cache Valley Cruise-in. It is a 3 day event that draws about 1000 cars to Logan, Utah. The Cache Valley Cruising Association does a great job of putting this huge show together in such a small town.

Thanks for the pics, Loyter. Is this the what used to be Logan's Run? I attended that show several times in the 87-93 time frame and enjoyed the many nice vehicles that came from all over the Northwest.

Yes, it was Logan's Run, but they had some copyright infringement issues with the folks who made the Logan's Run movie...so they changed the name.

Do they still shut the main street down for cruisin' at the end of the show??
My brother and I took both of his cars (one is mine now) to that show in 96 or 97. They "invited" 100 cars to the "cruise". There was well over 2000 cars there that year.
Both of the cars we took were driven there daily, and on the last day upon arrival, both cars were "invited" for the cruise.

We took a 46 Ford Coupe--Chopped top, Roots type 6-71 blower,
And a restored 66 ElCamino--396/4spd/tilt/kneeknocker tach, factory
Black with a 'rainbow theme' on the sides and rear.

Helluva weekend

Bryan

loyter,

Was this Cruise all weekend or just Saturday or Sunday? The reason I ask is that I saw an unusually high number of Rods on I-15 yesterday headed North-couldn't make it, too much going on-

Thanks for the pictures!

The Cruise-in is a three day event culminating in a show-n-shine on the first Saturday of the month of July.

It officially starts on Thursday, with a poker run to Bear Lake, which is about 45 miles up Logan Canyon - beautiful country and lake. They also have a sock hop on Friday night. Friday, they have a fun run around Cache valley and various other events. This year, they had 38 Special in concert.

One big reason they attract so many people is that they give away a car each year. Last year was a '68 Camaro convertible, this year it was a '56 Ford pickup and next year, it will be a '68 Charger R/T 440. I'd take that one.

Check out the link to see past giveaway cars.
