Cad Software

I do not start threads to often but I thought this might be a worthwhile thread to discuss some of the CAD programs out there for those who may be interested..

Found this link http://www.caddepot.com/ these guys have a lot of CAD shareware and a forum to offer..

Using CAD to me is a good way to day dream these long winter days about the next project..and can be very helpful to have the drawings and skecthes before one cuts metal..

Have a good one

SolidWorks was done by people who developed ProEngineer. It's essentially the same, but is quite a bit cheaper. Certainly far, FAR more capacity than needed for hobby work.
