And how much horsepower we can get from this engine w/ twin turbo, high-performance parts, blueprinted block, high-flow headers et cetera?

Just a good put together naturally aspirated engine can put out 400 horsepower and well over 500 foot pounds of torque. Nothing special.

well the answer is it depends. how much boost you can run, how efficient intercoolers are, lots of stuff. The well put together engine is a starting point then look at the other stuff.

Ask on the other boards that were posted.

HP= $$ How much do you have?? While I do like the idea of the 500 caddy and plan to use one myself, they are more of an inexpensive way to get lots of cubic inches and torque than a paltform to build an exotic engine from.
And usually turbo engines do not use headers since the plumbing gets real crazy to get a single pipe from the collecter back up to the turbo. You might do something with a set of block hugger shortys. Follow basic turbo building guidlines. The less static compression the engine is built with, the more boost you can run. O-ring the heads. Cam choice for the caddy might be a little tough, I don't think anyone has a grind that was engineered for a turbo engine but there might be some that work.
Maybe put your question up at this forum;
