Caddy engine question
Can anyone tell me when cadilac put out its first front wheel drive v8?
Thanks:welcome: |
I know that in 1915 cadallic intorduced it's first water cooled V8. I'm not sure if it was on a front wheel drive tho.

I believe around 68. The eldorado switched to front wheel drive. I am not aware of any FWD caddies before that, but I don't know all I could about caddies.

Hey , thanks alot. I am looking for a front wheel drive V-8 to use as the heart of my dune buggy, but I dont want to spend huge $cha ching$ on a 32 valve northstar off of a newer caddy. Plus the fuel injection system is a huge pain in the ***. But I want some crazy dune buggy action and I figured a V-8 is the best way to go.
Thanks again. |
You would be better off looking for a transaxle out of an Olds Toronado or a Buick Regal...cheaper.
Your real problem will be trying to cool it in a dune buggy. If you want the system rear mounted...good luck getting by cheap. |
