Caddy Tail light pics

Here is a couple of shots of the Caddy taillight conversion that I am doing on my S10 project. Let me tell you something about these.... It is not exactly the easiest thing to do There is sooooo much trimming its crazy. But on the lighter side(no pun intended) it'll look good when its done.
I also have a shot of the door in my photo album also.

Later,
WEIMER

It's coming out great.

Body work is my only weak point in rod building, but pretty soon I'm gonna be taking a stab at it. Now I know who to bug the most , just joking.

I can't get over how those lights look like they belong there. The bow is perfect with the bow of the body panel. You get the blue star today, amigo!

How'd you know????

Hey Weimer how you know?? You gotta let me know how you did that, I'm thinking about the same lights for my '46 Panel truck in the rear roll pan. Let me know how you did it and what troubles you had to help me decide if I want to go that way.

Thanks guy, looks great

There is a lot of trimming for the buckets to follow the bodyline of the truck. there is also a lotof triming to get the tail light fillers to fit the opening. But as far as installing in a rollpan it would be a breeze to do...
You have to be VERY careful around the edge of the bucket though because you want to keep a crisp edge...there are a couple of spots on mine that I need to work with to be up to my standards of satisfaction.

Great job. Looks great, just right. Your father and grandfather taught you well with, I'm sure no slack from your part. Very good job. I'm starting to get sick of this stuff. I got so many things to do I'm begining to hate doin them, so keep it up, but keep it rational so you don't burn out and end up hating it.
