Cadillac brakes
Ive got a strange problem with a '76 Cadillac Eldorado.
The car has the 425cu Cadddy engine and is front wheel drive. The front passenger side brake caliper is dragging. The original factory caliper started dragging one day running down the highway. I replaced it with a reman unit from Carquest. The problem persisted. I figured maybe I was sold a caliper that was poorly remanufactured. The replacement caliper was returned under warranty and I installed a third caliper. The third caliper also drags. The rotor, by eyesight on a known flat surface, seems to be perfectly straight. Has anyone experienced this problem? I cant seem to understand why two remanufactured calipers would have this problem?

You very likely have a rubber brake hose on that side that has collapsed internally.
|
