im going to give you my two cents thats never going to happen . if you cant have a project then your dad is never going to let you get the north* engine . ill tell you what i started with and give me some feed back . my firt car was an 81 volvo that eventualy blew up but for 300 bucks and and a new clutch and as much as i abused the thing i was amazed that it ran that long. next was an 84 s-10 my parents were the same as your dad is if not worse the truck ran fine but it wasnt a performance vehicle and thats what i wanted as you do .i was at a car show and saw a car that caught my eye an 85 buick regal t type hood not accual t type (darn) had a 350 so i thought(305)cherry bombs for exhaust and hadnt been to emmison in over 4 years to make a long story short (to late) i ended up building a 350 chevy at a machine shop witch i worked for free at so i could build my engine. so hard work goes a long way i would scrap the project one of us is crazy and try to jew your dad into getting something different hang in there he will cut lose of those chains one of these days

deathtoricers,
It's different. Not some stupid Honduh, MAzduh, or toyoduh ricer. My saturn (as all S-series are, and i think all the rest of 'em) are built in the middle of a cornfield in Spring Hill, TN. Wish it drove the tires out back. |

Ummm...?? a V-8 in a FWD car? why on earth would you ever.... oh never mind. Listen KID, drop a blown 3800 out of a buick or something into it. You just dont race FWD cars in my opinion, they pull so much you'll end up in a ditch on the side of a road. Sure I'd like to own a 3000GT, gut it, drop a turbo charged 3.8, or 4.1 from a GN into it along with a 200 4r tranny and make it RWD, but until I get about $20,000 for a project like that, I'll keep on dreaming.

Yea, deuce_454, I'd like to know how to fab a water injection system for $50, so drop me a line ChevelleSSLS6@msn.com
87442lover, I wanna beat the imports at their own game. I was driving my parent's Saturn VUE, and if ya try to flex its muscle off the line you'll do an instant right hand lane change. Hate torque steer too, but its what Im stuck with. 85 regal, they have v8 swap engine kits for S10s these days, but maybe I'll keep the Saturn mild and invest more in a real car, lots of late '70s beaters out there to fix up, and lots of people with musclecars for sale. |

no, turbos aren't so complicated... with the time and funds, that's prolly the way to go.
