I finally got my s-10 swap kit from AD-Engineering, best Christmas gift ever! So, I had a bodyman/Restoration guy come out and look at my truck and he tells me I have "cake" rust on the cab but overall for a truck of that age, 1955.1 it is in above average condition. The cake rust is only a spot about the size of 3 sheets of paper. I will not get the estimate untill next week. All I need is him to do is the bodywork and prime it, I want to do as much as I can not just write a check.
I said all that to ask what is cake rust and is acid dipping the best way to get rid of it? The cab is the only thing he said that needed dipping.
