Caltrac bars and daily driving?

Hello,
I have a 58 Chevy PU and plan on installing a set of Caltrac bars. Before I do I was wondering how do they affect daily driving, and handling? Heres my set up.

383 SBC 440hp + 120hp powershot NOS
GM 12 Bolt
Nitto Drag Radials
volare front end

Thanks,
Jordon

They don't! The only non-stock change I made to mine was to put a short length of heater hose over the "apply" bolt's shank to keep rattling to a minimum. I have a little preload on mine and the ride quality is completely acceptable.

The only problem that I have seen is that some people tend to tighten the adjustment too much and have the cross bolt in contact with the spring all the time, even preloaded...... adjust properly they are OK.
