350 with flat tops.. Get pretty much any hi perf head wth a 58cc to 64cc chamber and bolt it on and go.

Then put a cam in it if you want. Cams won;t make up for a very poor restrictive head. Try breathing thru a straw.

Here is a assume cylinder head ready to rock. Just one of many many great choices. Summit #SUM-162111

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-162111/

These are Summit Racing branded version of the IK200 (ya save $100)

The cam you got now + these heads will make way way more power and torque than any cam you were to waste using with the crappy restrictive 882 heads.

Your heads are the bottle neck in the power combo.

Thanks Jedd, that would be a good starter indeed.

F-Bird88, there is no doubt in what you say... So you say with the 64cc I won't boost the CR too much, right?
What else needs to be bought? Lets say I keep the cam. Lifters stay?
Is it only pushrods and gaskets or something more

Cheers

here you go.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NEX-40040-00/

You could run as much as 200hp shot on a mild 350 (cast crank cast pistons).

Say your 3800 lb car runs a 14.8 at 95 mph in the 1/4 mile now with a 300hp 350, if you add a 200hp shot it should be able to run a mid 12 at over 110mph.

Buy it, read it, understand it, then get rid of the 882 heads and get new cam/heads as discussed.

That looks like the exact book I started out with long ago. You should buy this book before you do anything. You will understand far more about what makes the SBC tick.

Thanks for the book recommendation. I'll try to get it...
Meanwhile i'm starting to think about driving the car like that for a little while and then do new heads and cam same time as Fbird88 suggested.
Thanks everyone for the advice

I strongly suggest getting the book before you buy heads or anything else. The book will tell you all the things you need to know about removing and replacing the heads and all that goes with it. You will save money on paying someone to help you so the book will pay itself of many times over.

That's a great hint. I'll try to get my hands on one of those bibles.
Only thing I have to figure out is how to have it shipped outside US by the seller.

Hmm, thanks for the readiness to help out a fellow.
I imagine you have enough chores on your mind anyway, I wouldn't wanna trouble you with my problems...
