I finally got off my dead butt and on to my dying feet on this.

Motor specs:

1973 350 4 bolt block, 010 high nickel bored .030 over
Scat 9000 3.75 stroke crank
Scat 6" forged H beam rods
KB164 18cc D-dish pistons
Mahle file fit rings
AFR 195 heads with 64cc chambers (on order will be here soon)
Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake
Heavily modified Quadrajet carb, currently flows just over 1000 cfm on the bench.

9.7:1 static C.R. and with either cam I would be very near 8.0:1 dynamic with the quench right at .040 with a .025 head gasket

A 2000 stall will be added to the TH350 due to towing and I have a 4.11 gear in the 1 ton axles.

Right now I am torn between the Comp Cams 268XFI H13 and the Lunati Voodoo 60103. I'd love to go full roller but it isn't in the cards right now.

I'm really hoping to be around 450 on both the torque and hp, with an emphasis on torque.

I don't think you'll have a problem meeting your goal, especially with the AFR's.

Thanks for the article. I may not be running as steep of a cam, but the heads are alot better. I'm willing to bet I'll be close to those results.

That article also makes me wonder about the accuracy of Camquest 6. It has this build at 495 hp at 6000 and 508 ft-lbs at 4000.

Hydraulic roller would be 540 hp at 6000 and 545 ft lbs at 4500

Solid roller would be 575 hp at 6000 and 565 ft-lbs at 4500.

Numbers seem VERY optomistic to me.

Anyway, this should end a stout combo anyway I look at it.
