You'll gain a little with roller tip rockers, not much though. You didn't mention headers, do you have headers? How much do you want to spend and how much work do you want to do and are you want strip type power or highway speed?

What size heads are you running?? Is your intake and heads port/polished and matched?? Are you running a roller cam or flat tappet?? Roller cam with give you around 40 more horsepower just with the cam.

I was running a similar setup as you are now. I recently changed to a roller cam. Pumped up my heads and port and polished. I have 10.5 compression and run 13.48 at the track in my 66 Impala...I am pushing 485hp at the rear tire. Not bad for a 5100 lb car......

there's nothing like a set of slicks! If you can't trailer the car, there are a ton of great street slicks out there. Mickey Thompson's et streets are pretty much slicks that are dot legal. If that's a little too much, Super Chevy did an article on DOT legal slicks, and found BFG Drag radials to be great.
Black66 is also giving some great advice. The power is in the heads!

you can call comp cams and answer their questions and they will give you their recommendation as to the cam best suited to fulfill your needs. They have a website where you can get the phone number.
