OK, I goofed. I thought your two very similar posts were the same one in two different places. I merged them to help keep people from spending time answering them in two different places. Sorry. I'll leave now and go pull some weeds or something.

With the street 383 camaro I was asking for a recommendation on a nice cam/carb/intake combo. Something with some *** but on the quiet sleepy side. ---NO HOOD SCOOP---

but on the quiet sleepy side.

Driver/drivability overall feel satisfaction is very hard to qualify. It's very subjective. You need to elaborate a bit more.
A dual plane hi rise manifold with a 750cfm vac sec carb that has been dialed in properly, combined with a (the right) hydraulic ( flat tappet or roller) cam is hard to beat for street friendly SBC Camaro. Need more detail.
What have you used before that you liked or didn't like?
How much realistic power are you after.? gear ratio, trans etc.

.......

Looking for as much power as I can squeeze out but I want to try and make it look and sound stock or as stock as possible. You know a sleeper, It's the car that everyone laughs at when you talk about racing it but they soon find out that they can't beat it! (something like that). Right now this car is in excellent condition, everything is stock, We just want to take out the 327 and put in some power, of course the tranny is being upgraded and we have not really discussed a rearend choice although we know it will be needed. Like I said ,it's a weekend driver.A show boat. I am doing all this for my brother, he has done for me time and time again. I don't know how to ever repay him for all he has done but, This stuff is what I do best and I want to do it for him. Here is what I have - 383 stroker(Bow tie block), K.B 12:1 flat tops, Scat rods, eagle forged crank ( that cost me!),aluminum heads-205/165,64cc chamber,210 runners, angle plug, roller rockers, 7 qrt pan w/tray and scraper, electric water pump, electric fuel pump,etc... I have a few carbs and intakes here but I want the right combo. i have ordered all the neoprene bushings and things for suspension and body roll so it should ride nice but again it's just a weekend ride,At 4.00 a gallon that's all he can drive it anyway! I do thank you for taking a interest in this project!
