cam id
i just tore apart the engine in my 1932 vicky i was wondering what kind of cam was in it it has a 56 or 57 283 with a 327 crank the cam has two stampings one is (GM12) and the other is (3766098) thats the only marks on it ,so can anyone help with that i'v looked on the net but not very hard any help would be cool thanks

The "098" cam is the early "fuelie" cam, commonly called the "Duntov" solid lifter cam. Specs are .395/.401 lift, 228*/230* at .050.

In '57 the "fuelie" 283 pretty much ruled the street with that grind, the '62-'63 Corvette "fuelie" 327's were pretty fast with the same grind too!
