We have used the Cloyes hex adjust for years and there is no locking plates that will fit that set up and the cam button fits snug in the center so far no problems and we have allways used locktite once the cam is degreed in.

If the cam bolts are falling out there is a good chance they were not torqued correctly as GM does not seem to have any problems with them falling apart.

We have seen tham alot of them on the crate engines and none have fallen out so far.
